Our custom wedding cakes are best for weddings with 100 guests or more or any couple looking for something truly unique to compliment their wedding style. This experience is our highest level of service, which includes an appointment to create a custom design and delivery to your venue. If you have a vague idea of what you are looking for but nothing you have seen feels quite right yet, we’d love to work with you to create your dream cake.

Our online shop cakes are great for smaller weddings or couples looking for a more affordable cake cutting experience to share with your guests. We frequently add beautifully designed options to our online shop and package them to be easily transported to your venue. Delivery can be added on 1 month from your wedding date if we still have availability in our schedule on top of our custom wedding cakes that require delivery.

Because of the care and attention to detail that go into our wedding cakes and desserts, we have limited availability. We recommend securing your date on our calendar six to nine months in advance. We always try to accommodate last minute orders, but once a week is fully booked we stop taking orders. If you’re wondering whether your date is still open, please fill out an inquiry form and we’ll let you know!

For online shop orders, the order deadline is listed on each item. For weddings, we recommend ordering at least 1 month in advance as we sometimes have to close the shop early on busy weeks.

Pricing is extremely dependent on design. Our custom wedding cakes start at $8 per serving and go up from there. Simple buttercream cakes with fresh flowers have a flat fee of $8 per serving. Our average custom wedding cake client spends $9-$12 per serving. We will give you a custom quote once we’ve discussed your wedding cake design together.

We also have an online shop with pre-designed and semi-custom cakes at a lower pricepoint.

Yes, all custom wedding cake and dessert orders have a minimum which varies based on the season:

For weddings in May-October, there is a $1000 minimum
For weddings in November-April, there is a $600 minimum

Delivery fees do not go towards the minimum.

If your budget is below our custom order minimum, we recommend choosing a cake in our online shop.

Tastings are $60 and include four cake flavors of your choice. We make enough cake for you to try some at the tasting and have extra to take home with you. After you taste our cakes, you’ll get the chance to meet with one of our talented designers to talk through your ideas and design your dream wedding cake.

If you would like to order through our online shop, we offer pick-up tastings. Reach out to onlineshop@sweetheatheranne.com and we’ll send you a link to order tasting cakes.

We offer tastings within 12 months of your wedding date. Since you design your cake during your tasting, you should schedule your tasting once you have a good sense of the overall design of your wedding. If you’d like to include fresh flowers on your cake, it’s best to have met with your florist before scheduling your tasting.

We offer tastings Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays depending on our availability. If you prefer a weekend tasting, we recommend reaching out at least one month before you’d like to come in, as these slots book up very quickly.

Yes! We make a variety of desserts including cupcakes, cookies, macarons, and other tasty treats. We offer dessert table packages that include stands, setup, labels, and everything else you need to create a stunning dessert table. Just let us know you’re interested, and we’ll go over it with you in more detail during your phone consult.

We work with Botanical Bakeshop to provide both vegan and gluten free cake servings for guests who need allergen friendly dessert.

If you are interested in a vegan or gluten free cake to serve all of your guests, we recommend working with Botanical Bakeshop or Sweet Bree’s directly.

We do have some cake flavors that do not contain nuts and we take precaution when baking, however, our kitchen is not nut-free and we cannot guarantee there will be no cross contamination.

Yes! We offer delivery for our custom designed wedding cakes and require it for cakes three tiers and larger. Ann Arbor delivery is $50, and all other areas are based off mileage.

Because we have a small team, we can only guarantee delivery for our custom wedding cakes that require delivery. Online shop orders can add on delivery 1 month in advance of their wedding if our schedule allows. All online shop orders come boxed and ready to transport safely to their destination.
