Hi! I’m Kristin.

I’m a cake designer here at Sweet Heather Anne. I’m excited to help our clients make their cake dreams come to life!

I’ve long had a love of baking. I grew up in a house where we baked cookies, brownies and cakes from scratch. l have fond memories of helping my mom bake and decorate cakes for each family members’ birthday.

I didn’t initially think I would pursue a culinary path in life though. After high school, I went on to study Illustration at California State University of Fullerton while working at Disneyland Park. During College I often found myself baking as a way to calm and focus my mind. When I was nearing the end of my studies, I decided that I would pair my love of art with my love of baking and pastry and applied to the Pastry Program at The California School of Culinary Arts in Pasadena.  

I spent many years of my career as the Assistant Pastry Chef and Pastry Chef at Five Star Hotels in Laguna Beach and Napa California creating everything from breakfast pastries to plated desserts to wedding cakes. While I have a deep love for all aspects of baking and pastry, I have always found particular joy in creating custom cakes for special occasions and weddings. I’m so excited to have joined the talented team at Sweet Heather Anne where I can continue to grow my knowledge of all things cake.  

When I’m not at the bakery, I spend my time with my husband Scot, who is also a chef, and our two crazy husky dogs, Maddie and Faith. I love to spend time in the garden, do DIY home projects and still continue to draw and paint.
